The difficult and delicate operation of choice, automatically managed with ease and extreme precision by EXAMINA.
EXAMINA integrates the innovative system for tile dimensional and pla- nar measurements in the machine of choice, thus allowing size reduction on the line and simplifying the interfacing for the change of codes.

 

The new system stands out from the classic caliber-planar for its high accuracy and repeatability of planar and dimensional measurements, for the reconstruction and displaying of 3D tile. Threre are not required mapping calibration operations with sample plates.

With EXAMINA, the search for defects of colour or structure takes place following a simple training performed by the operator, indicating the non-defective tiles to the machine: chromatic and structural characteristics of the product are identified in this phase and once the selection is launched, the system is able to detect anomalies (defects) compared to what it has learned.

EXAMINA uses powerful and reliable computing systems of the latest generation, high-resolution industrial cameras combined with innovative LED lighting systems with electronic active control in order to ensure maximum stability and extremely long durability.

Functional Characteristics:

Tile Size: from 150×150 to 1200×1800 depending on model Dimensional and planarity controls: display with 3D mapping of the entire surface of the tile. No caliber-planar adjustment operations at the change of format.

 

TONE Management: Self learning with first choice examples,two tones simultaneously active, No faces check for tone-shaded products.

 

Control of aesthetic DEFECTS: Self-learning for defects. Option of defining thresholds to down-grade a specific type of defect. Selection criteria for the background color, glossy/opaque surface, grain amount (on blasted products) wavy or flat surface (double loadings).

 

Alarm Management: Warning Messages and/or alarms for individual defect (acoustic and visual signals on consoles), line lock in more severe cases.
